The BSOA is a non-profit 501(c)(4) corporation registered with the State of Montana and managed by an elected Board of Directors. The purpose of the BSOA is to maintain common areas and govern the homeowner community in accordance with the provisions of applicable legal documents, including Covenants, Bylaws, Articles of Incorporation, and Architectural Review Design Regulations.

BSOA continues to work with the experts at Keystone Conservation to design and implement strategies that protect our Northern Rocky Mountain wildlife while keeping people and property secure. In 2010, there were 295 human-grizzly bear conflicts in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem resulting in the mortality of an estimated 75 animals – a record high.
