Dane Smith and his wife have been visiting Big Sky since 2000 and have owned property here since 2002. With a home on Little Coyote Road and additional properties in Mountain Village and Powder Ridge, Dane has a long-standing connection to the community. His family’s love for Big Sky now extends to the next generation, as he and his wife share ownership of a property with their adult children.

Dane brings extensive real estate and HOA leadership experience to the BSOA Board. He currently serves on the Fairways 2 and Lakota 4/5 HOA Boards and has previously served on the boards of Powder Ridge 2/3, Village Center and the Summit Hotel.

A retired real estate executive, Dane spent 35 years developing, renovating, managing and leasing major retail shopping centers. He also has significant experience owning, building and managing residential properties, ranging from single-family homes to large apartment communities.

Dane serves on the board of the I Have a Dream Foundation, supporting underserved students in Dallas. He looks forward to contributing his professional experience, long-term perspective and commitment to Big Sky to the BSOA Board.
