John Seelye – Chair
Sweet Grass Hills Property Owner
John Seelye has called Big Sky home since 1996, bringing nearly 30 years of construction experience and community involvement to the Big Sky Architectural Committee (BSAC). Originally from Litchfield, Connecticut, John began his construction career while attending the University of Connecticut. His love of the mountains took him to Summit County and Vail, Colorado, where he honed his carpentry skills building high-end mountain homes. Drawn by Big Sky’s skiing and the opportunity to start his own business, he moved here in 1996 and founded Big Sky Woodwork & Design in 1997, which later evolved into Big Sky Build, a leading construction company in Southwest Montana. John and his family live, work and play in Big Sky. He has been actively involved in the community, including serving on the Big Sky Fire Board. With investments in residential and commercial properties and land throughout Big Sky, John brings extensive knowledge of the community’s history, development and future. As BSAC Chair, he combines decades of local construction expertise with a commitment to thoughtful development and preserving Big Sky’s unique mountain character.
Dave McCaffery
Aspen Groves Property Owner
Dave McCaffery and his wife, Coleen, moved to Big Sky full-time in 2023 after vacationing here since 2007. They purchased property in Aspen Groves in 2016 and Cottonwood Crossing in 2019 before building their current Aspen Groves home. Dave holds a BS in Engineering from NJIT and an MBA from Monmouth University. Before retiring in 2023, he held numerous engineering, management and consulting positions. He also brings extensive construction experience, including volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity and more than 15 years serving on Building and Grounds committees, where he reviewed architectural plans and renovation proposals. Since moving to Big Sky, Dave has worked as a mountain host at Big Sky Resort and launched a handyman business serving local homeowners. An avid skier, hiker, mountain biker and fisherman, he has embraced Big Sky’s outdoor lifestyle and developed a deep appreciation for the area’s history and natural beauty. Dave brings a practical, hands-on perspective to the Big Sky Architectural Committee, combining his engineering background, construction experience and firsthand knowledge of building in Big Sky to thoughtfully review proposed designs and help preserve the community’s unique character.
Gina Dee
Meadow Village Property Owner
Gina Dee first came to Big Sky in 2016 for the Yellowstone Club Village Core interior finishes project and became a full-time resident in 2018. She and her husband purchased and renovated a home on Curley Bear Road in the Meadows in 2023. With an office in Town Center and experience living in several Big Sky neighborhoods, she brings a broad perspective on the community. Gina directs a local business and leads an architectural millwork installation company with approximately 50 team members on site. She brings experience in leadership, budgeting, communication, and managing complex projects. Her community involvement includes service on the Big Sky Architectural Committee (BSAC) and volunteering with the Community Center and Arts Council. During COVID, she organized a children’s art camp that raised funds for the local food bank and the Arts Council’s “Pay It Forward” program. As a BSOA Board member, Gina is committed to bringing people together, preserving Big Sky’s character, and supporting thoughtful, community-minded decisions that protect property values and enhance members’ quality of life.
Cindy Miller
Cascade Property Owner
Cindy Miller brings more than 20 years of board experience and a strong commitment to thoughtful growth and community stewardship to the Big Sky Architectural Committee (BSAC). With a professional background in marketing, data analytics and product development, Cindy brings valuable analytical and strategic planning skills to the committee. She spent 13 years serving on School Councils, gaining extensive experience in state regulations and policy advocacy. She also served for 15 years on Science Center policy and finance committees following its acquisition by the YMCA. Additionally, Cindy led an investment group for 22 years, developing expertise in financial oversight, long-term planning and responsible stewardship. Originally from the St. Louis and Chicago areas, she began her extensive community service shortly after moving to Massachusetts, joining two local boards within her first year. As a current BSAC member, Cindy is committed to balancing Big Sky’s growth with preserving its unique mountain character. She brings a collaborative, analytical approach to decision-making, with a focus on protecting the community’s natural beauty and enhancing the quality of life for its residents.
Ollie Zlotnicki
Mountain Village Property Owner
Ollie Zlotnicki has spent more than 17 years living in mountain communities, including the past six years between Bozeman and Big Sky. A Mountain Village property owner, Ollie brings extensive architectural and land-use planning experience to the Big Sky Architectural Committee (BSAC). A licensed architect in Montana and Colorado, Ollie previously served on the Aspen Planning and Zoning Commission, where he reviewed development applications, variances and projects in environmentally sensitive areas. He also advised the Aspen City Council on long-range planning and land-use issues. This experience has given him a valuable understanding of both the applicant and reviewer perspectives, as well as the importance of balancing development with community character. Ollie recognizes the unique challenges facing mountain communities as they grow. He is committed to thoughtful stewardship of Big Sky’s built environment, ensuring that future development respects the area’s natural beauty while supporting the needs of residents, property owners and visitors. He looks forward to bringing a collaborative, balanced and practical approach to the BSAC.
