Ernie Chappell brings decades of leadership experience and a deep commitment to community service to his role in Big Sky governance. Originally from Alberta, Canada then Nashville, Tennessee Ernie retired in 2024 from a business he founded in the Ag Technology sector. Outside of professional activities Ernie also has over 30 years of volunteer board service spanning University Trusteeship, Elementary and High school boards, HOAs and corporate boards. He and his wife, Amanda, have three sons and have owned in upper Cascade since 2021, spending about 60% of the year in Big Sky. Ernie’s motivation centers on maintaining Big Sky’s exceptional quality of life and protecting property values for all residents.
